One of my best friends just told me she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is going to see a surgeon today. She's trying to stay upbeat and positive, but she's anxious that it may have spread. Her mother lost her battle with cancer in her 40's, and my friend is about the same age. If you can send upbeat thoughts and prayers her way, I know she'll appreciate it.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending lots of T&Ps her way. My G-ma had stage 3 breast cancer about 10 years ago & kicked it's a**. Hoping your friend does the same.

So sorry your friend is going through this. My mom had a mastectomy 25 years ago. She is doing great today! Hope your friend is in the best of hands and feels good about her treatment plan. That's key.

T&Ps. My dad's best friend passed away a year ago due to cancer and my uncle was diagnosed this past year. It sucks majorly, but there is a huge support group for breast cancer patients. Avon, Komen, and ACS all have huge support groups.
